You might wonder why you would bother clipping and saving all these coupons for a mere savings of a few cents. From that point of view, it is indeed too troublesome to even bother clipping the coupons. But, when you combine manufacturer coupons (smartsource/redplum, etc), with store coupons, with store sales and store rewards, and sometimes you get deals that double your manufacturer coupons(Kmart in Sacramento), then you save BIG.

Sometimes, you even get money back!!!
How would you like to get free detergent?!? (I did at Walgreens, last week. 3 bottles, to be exact)
How about free toothpaste? (Rite Aid, 2 weeks ago, 4 free Colgate total advanced)
And the list goes on...
The main thing to remember is that when you have a sale that great, you want to stock up. THAT is the true way you save. You stock up when it's cheap to save you money when it's not.
